IIM Ahmedabad recorded the highest domestic average package at ₹35.5 LPA, closely followed by IIM Bangalore (₹35.3 LPA) and IIM Calcutta (₹35 LPA). All three are known as IIM ABC — the most sought-after MBA destinations in India.

Absolutely. FMS charges one of the lowest fees in India (under ₹2 lakh for the full programme) while delivering average placements of ₹34.1 LPA. The ROI at FMS is unmatched. It accepts only CAT scores and the cutoff is around 98+ percentile overall.

IIM A, B, C typically require 99.5%ile+ overall. IIM L, K require 95–97%ile+. The newer IIMs (Rohtak, Ranchi, etc.) often call students with 90–92%ile. Remember — shortlisting also considers sectional scores, academics, and WAT/PI performance.

ISB offers a 1-year MBA and primarily targets candidates with 3–5 years of work experience. Its average package of ₹34.1 LPA is comparable to IIM ABC. For freshers or those with less than 2 years of experience, IIMs are the better fit. ISB uses GMAT/GRE, not CAT.

XLRI Jamshedpur is India's #1 HR school and also has an excellent Business Management programme. It accepts XAT scores (not CAT). If you're targeting XLRI, writing XAT is essential. The XAT exam is generally considered slightly tougher than CAT due to its General Knowledge section and Decision Making paper.

There is no limit on the number of CAT attempts. The exam is held once every year (typically in November–December). You can appear as many times as needed. Many successful IIM students appear 2–3 times before achieving their target percentile.
